The wellhead jacket and access deck for Culzean high-pressure, high-temperature gas and condensate field have begun moving to their destination in the central UK North Sea (OGJ Online, Sept. 1, 2015).
Heerema Fabrication Group completed the jacket at Vissingen, the Netherlands, and the access deck at Hartlepool, the UK, for operator Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd.
Together, the units weigh 7,100 tons. The jacket has a height of 114 m.
Water depth at the field, on Block 22/25a 250 km east of Aberdeen, is 88 m.
The development involves bridge-linked wellhead, central processing, and utilities and quarters platforms. Production is to reach 60,000-90,000 boe/d.
Maersk’s partners are JX Nippon and BP PLC.
