Total SA has let a contact to Technip SA for the subsea development of Glenlivit field, 75 km northwest of the Shetlands in 435 m of water. Technip says the contract is in addition to parallel work its doing for Total’s nearby Edradour subsea development. The two projects will be coordinated (OGJ Online, Oct. 30, 2014).

The Glenlivit contract calls for fabrication and installation of 12-in. and 6-in. pipelines, steel tube umbilicals, flexible tails, pipeline-end manifolds, flowline-end terminations, and rigid well tie-in spools. Technip says installation will be complete after the 2017 summer season.

Total and partner DONG are planning on developing Glenlivit with two wells and a 17-km production pipeline tied back to the Laggan-Tormore (OGJ Online, July 3, 2014).

Total expects the production of Edradour and Glenlivit fields to add reserves of more than 65 million boe.
