America’s Natural Gas Alliance has elected Charles B. Stanley, president and chief executive officer of QEP Resources, as its chairman for 2014-16. Stanley will succeed G. Steven Farris, chairman and chief executive officer of Apache Corp. (OGJ Online, Mar. 15, 2010).
Stanley has more than 26 years of experience in upstream and midstream oil and natural gas operations. He previously served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Questar Corp. Stanley also serves on the board of the American Exploration & Production Council and previously served on the board of Western Energy Alliance, formerly known as the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States.
Steve Mueller, president and chief executive officer of Southwestern Energy since 2009, will become vice-chairman.
