As industrial organizations continue their digital transformation journey, processing and analyzing data closer to where it is generated has become increasingly important. Edge computing enables real-time decision-making by bringing computing power directly to equipment, processes, and operations, reducing latency, improving reliability, and minimizing dependence on centralized infrastructure.

Attendees will gain insights into:

  • The fundamentals of edge computing and its role in O&G operations
  • Emerging edge technologies and their application in demanding oil & gas environments
  • Key edge terminology, architectures, and common protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP
  • How edge solutions enable local data processing, visualization, analytics, and faster decision-making
  • How edge computing works with cloud, AI, machine learning, and industrial analytics platforms
  • Cybersecurity, connectivity, and deployment considerations for edge environments
  • Top real-world edge applications across oil & gas operations, including equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, production optimization, and emissions management
