Evans Gas Research Institute Chicago An accurate method for estimating toxic emissions from glycol gas-dehydration units is available. Estimates of emissions of benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and of volatile organic compounds (VOCS) can be used to identify which units may be of regulatory concern under increasingly stringent state and federal environmental regulations.
