ENSERCH STARTS GULF GAS/CONDENSATE FLOW

Enserch Corp. has started production from a subsea template as part of a deepwater field development project on Mississippi Canyon Block 441 in the Gulf of Mexico. About 40 MMcfd of gas is flowing from three wells in 1,410-1,520 ft of water about 55 miles south of New Orleans. Three more wells are to be completed in the field and begin producing through a second template by June, jumping production to more than 70 MMcfd and 600 b/d of condensate.
