Steady demand for high-octane gasoline requires a good supply of high-quality alkylate, an important high octane gasoline blendstock. Maintaining high-quality alkylate requires close attention to the process and operating conditions of both sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid (HF) alkylation units.
