The Woodside Petroleum-led Pluto LNG project has commissioned the Pluto pipeline gas facility and delivered its first gas into the Dampier to Bunbury natural gas trunkline.

The Pluto pipeline, with a capacity to supply up to 25 terajoules/day of gas, will now form part of Woodside’s domestic gas supply portfolio which adds to its existing foundation domestic gas facility at the North West Shelf facilities.

The company said that additional domestic gas supply from Pluto is scheduled to begin early in 2019 with the commissioning of the Pluto LNG trucking facility.

Domestic gas infrastructure at the Pluto plant site on the Burrup Peninsula will be further expanded as part of the proposed Pluto Train 2 project which has a scheduled final investment decision for 2020 (OGJ Online, Oct. 9, 2018).
