D. Mark Routt

Mark is a Senior Staff Consultant with KBC with over 30 years experience as a Chemical Engineer. He is an accomplished manager with extensive consulting and industry experience in the U.S. and International locations in Strategic Planning, Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, energy trading, physical and financial commodity Risk Management. Mark has in-depth knowledge of the downstream domestic U.S. and international petroleum energy markets. He understands the implications and operation of the interconnected global energy market.

Mark has responsibility for KBC Energy Economics’ clients in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America. He regularly contributes to Energy Economics’ monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on international oil markets, the energy industry, and specific, in-depth client studies. Mark has lead teams charged with producing bankable market studies for regional energy products. He has developed economic and risk models for both small and major energy projects. Mark has provided commercial expertise and due diligence review for strategic downstream acquisitions. He has lead and contributed to teams that have developed crude quality banks, commercially valued new crudes, and have produced coherent crude and product price sets, at both coastal and inland locations. Mark has also conducted global market studies for non-energy products sold to the energy sector.

Mark has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
