Mr. Van Gemert leads the Systems and Controls business unit at WEST Engineering Services, a company providing BOEM compliance recertification and consulting services to drilling companies. In this role, Mr. Van Gemert leads an experienced team to address the unique challenges of today's high specification offshore rigs. Mr. Van Gemert has over 18 years technology consulting experience with some of the world's leading global organizations. This experience has proven valuable in bringing forward-looking leadership into referanceable standards and systems approaches to safer operations. Most recently Mr. Van Gemert has been collaborating with a number of organization on an open systems approach to rig architecture based on global standards, best available technologies, reliability centered maintenance, compliance, risk mitigation and leading information security strategies.
