JDR

JDR, a leading provider of technology connecting the global offshore energy industry, has expanded its service footprint with PD Ports in Hartlepool to support its continued growth in the oil and gas and renewables sectors.

JDR has been a tenant at the Port of Hartlepool since first acquiring 97,000 square foot (sq.ft.) of warehouse space in 2008 and subsequently transformed it in to a world-class manufacturing facility. Since then, JDR's foothold has increased substantially and now includes three adjoining warehouses for manufacture and storage at the Port, totalling over 280,000 square feet.

The increased capacity will house a new state-of-the-art, high-capacity horizontal helix lay-up machine to manufacture umbilicals meeting the highest standards and technical specifications for steel and thermoplastic. The expansion will also provide additional storage for 6,000 metric tonnes of equipment.

TAM International

TAM International, an independent oilfield services company providing inflatable packers, swellable packers, and downhole products to the oil and gas industry, announces the first run of the PosiFrac Toe Sleeve in the Utica Shale.

A customer working in the Utica Shale in eastern Ohio ran two of TAM's 5.5 in. PosiFrac Toe Sleeves in a single well in order to perform a casing integrity test before fracturing out of the toe at high flow rates. They conducted a 12,500 psi casing test at approximately 10,000 feet total vertical depth for 30 minutes, then opened the tools during bleed-off as planned.

The PosiFrac Toe Sleeve is ideal for both cemented and uncemented completions where a pressure test is desired to confirm casing integrity prior to opening the toe sleeve for fracturing operations.

McDermott International

McDermott International, Inc. announced it has been awarded a sizeable brownfield project by Qatar Petroleum for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of four wellhead jackets.

Installation of two jackets in the Bul-Hanine field offshore east of Doha has been scheduled to be completed by December 2016 with the remaining two scheduled for completion in July 2017. The total weight of all four structures combined is 3,495 tons.

Revenue for the order will be included in McDermott's third quarter 2015 backlog.

McDermott has been delivering projects in Qatar for more than 40 years. Detailed design engineering and procurement is expected to be performed by McDermott's teams in Dubai, U.A.E. Jackets are scheduled for fabrication by McDermott's Dubai, U.A.E.-based fabrication facility. Vessels from the McDermott global fleet are scheduled to undertake the installation work.

Landmark

Landmark, a Halliburton business line and a leading provider of software for the upstream oil and gas industry, and CGG, a global provider of fully integrated geoscience technology and services, announced a geosciences technology collaboration.

The collaboration will allow shared customers to seamlessly access best-in-class interpretation and reservoir characterization technologies and geoscience data from both companies, using the industry's first E&P enterprise class platform; Landmark's DecisionSpace(R). A series of unique workflows enabled by the platform will be delivered through connectivity of geoscience applications and data.

As the E&P industry remains challenged to do more with less in the current economic climate, increased efficiencies are derived by better work processes and data. The technology collaboration will significantly enhance existing unconventional and 4D workflows by providing full interoperability of combined capabilities, across the complete lifecycle of the reservoir. This will provide immediate potential to save costs and improve outcomes for our joint customers.

Additionally, Landmark and CGG will engage with customers to develop a new class of E&P workflows to meet existing and emerging industry challenges. These next generation software suites will support improved prospect generation, well location and path definition, completion design, development planning and reservoir management.
