A clarification to your article “Large upstream projects target world energy needs” (OGJ, June 12, 2006, p. 41): In the table on p. 41, the information on Peru implies that Hunt Oil Co. is operator of the whole Camisea gas development.
Hunt Oil is operator only of the plant to be built by Peru LNG and is an investor in the rest of the development. Pluspetrol Peru Corp. is operator of Blocks 88 (producing) and 56 (under development).
Transportadora de Gas del Peru is owner of the gas and liquids pipelines.
On p. 8 of the same edition, Pluspetrol is mentioned correctly as operator of the Block 56 and 88 fields; however, the percentage of interest is not correct. Originally, the interest was 36% (as reported in the news item), but it has been 27.2% for 2 years.
