OPaL lets EPC contract for petrochemical plant

Jan 2, 2009 ONGC Petro addition Ltd. (OPaL), which is planning a major petrochemicals complex in India's special economic zone at Dahej, Gujarat, has awarded a $1.43 billion contract to a consortium of Samsung Engineering Ltd. of Seoul and Linde AG of Germany for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a naphtha and gas dual-feed ethylene cracker and associated units at the complex.
