Targa, Sanchez Energy form Eagle Ford gas JV

Targa Resources Partners LP and Sanchez Energy Corp. have agreed to form joint ventures that will construct a 200-MMcfd cryogenic natural gas processing plant in La Salle County, Tex., and 45 miles of high-pressure gathering pipelines that will connect Sanchez Energy’s Catarina gathering system to the plant.

India’s BPCL lets contract for Kochi refinery

Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL), Mumbai, has let a contract to Porvair Filtration Group Ltd. to supply filter technology to be implemented at its 9.5 million-tonne/year (tpy) Kochi refinery at Ambalmugal, in the Indian state of Kerala, as part an ongoing integrated expansion project designed to boost the plant’s crude processing capacity to 15.5 million tpy by 2018.

Delek lets contract for emissions-cutting technology at Tyler refinery

PBF Energy inks deal for California refinery, logistics assets

PBF Holding Co. LLC, a subsidiary of PBF Energy Inc., Parsippany, NJ, has entered an agreement to buy ExxonMobil Corp.’s 155,000-b/d refinery in Torrance, Calif., which has been shuttered since early this year following an explosion and ensuing fire that struck the plant in February.

EPA institutes fenceline monitoring in update of refining regulations

The US Environmental Protection Agency required fenceline monitoring for the first time as it issued a final rule updating refinery emissions control requirements. Refiners will be required to install the monitors to measure benzene at the edges of their plant sites to better protect and inform nearby communities, EPA said.
