Shell resumes oil flow through Nigeria's Bomu manifold

Royal Dutch Shell PLC has resumed pumping crude through the Bomu pipeline manifold in the eastern Niger Delta in southern Nigeria. About 170,000 b/d of production was shut in last week because of community protests.

In 2006, Russia’s CJSC Elvary Neftegaz, a joint venture between OAO Rosneft and BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd., drilled the top hole sections of two wells off Sakhalin Island using a riserless mud-recovery system from a semisubmersible rig.

Shell starts Changbei field gas production

Commercial gas production has begun at Changbei gas field in China, said Royal Dutch Shell PLC, the field's operator, on Mar. 1. The field is expected to plateau at 3 billion cu m/year in 2008 and deliver gas to Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, and Hebei.
