A consortium comprised of Schahin Group and Modec Inc., contracted by Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), has begun transporting the newly built Cidade de Mangaratiba floating production, storage, and offloading vessel from the BrasFels shipyard in Angra dos Reis, Brazil, to the Iracema South area of Lula field in the presalt layer of the Santos basin.

EIA: China to increase natural gas consumption, investment

China more than tripled natural gas production since 2003, producing 3.8 tcf in 2012, and the government is targeting production to reach about 5.5 tcf/year of gas by the end of 2015, according to a recent analysis from the US Energy Information Administration.
