Tangguh LNG cargo might ship to Fujian this week (Oct 27, 2009)

The BP PLC-led Tangguh gas liquefaction plant in Indonesia might dispatch a single cargo of LNG to China's Fujian receiving terminal this week, according to a state oil and gas official.

Contract let for Gorgon development in Western Australia (Oct 26, 2009)

The Chevron Australia-led joint venture developing Gorgon-Jansz-Io fields in Western Australia let a $400 million contract for the supply of LNG technology to US energy group GE Oil & Gas.

Julimar gas to go to Wheatstone LNG project (Oct 23, 2009)

Chevron Australia has made an agreement with Apache Energy Ltd. and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. (Kufpec) for natural gas from the companies’ Julimar and nearby Brunello fields to supply the proposed Wheatstone LNG project in Western Australia.

Sempra dedicates Cameron LNG terminal (Oct 22, 2009)

Sempra Energy dedicated its 1.5 bcfd Cameron LNG receipt terminal in Hackberry, La., Oct. 21. The terminal began commercial operations July 30.

Chevron, KJVG let Barrow Island LNG port contract (Oct 22, 2009)

Chevron Corp. and Kellogg Joint Venture Group (KJVG) let an $809 million (Aus.) contract to Boskalis Australia Pty. Ltd., a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster NV of Papendrecht, the Netherlands, for the design and construction of a port at Barrow Island as part of the Gorgon-Jansz-Io LNG project.

China begins commissioning third LNG terminal (Oct 20, 2009)

China’s Shanghai LNG terminal received its first LNG cargo of 45,000 cu m aboard the 88,000-cu m Arctic Spirit LNG carrier from Bintulu, Malaysia, Oct. 11.

Chubu Electric still discussing Donggi-Senoro LNG project (Oct 19, 2009)

Chubu Electric Power Co. is still negotiating to buy liquefied natural gas from a Mitsubishi-led consortium that plans to build a plant on Indonesia's Sulawesi Island to export gas from the Senoro and Matindok gas fields.

Midsize Chinese LNG plant to supply domestic markets (Oct 16, 2009)

China’s Ningxia Hanas Natural Gas Co. will employ Air Products’ LNG process technology and equipment for a midsize LNG project in Yinchuan, China, according to an agreement with overall project manager Technip announced Oct. 15.
