HOUSTON, June 1 -- Petrominerales Ltd., Bogota, said its Corcel-E1 well in Corcel field in Colombia's Llanos basin is producing 4,900 b/d of 17° gravity oil at less than 1% water cut after completion in the Cretaceous Lower Sand 1 formation.

Logs indicated 113 ft of net pay including 48 ft in the Lower Sand 1 and 65 ft in the Eocene Mirador and Cretaceous Guadalupe formations. TD is 12,614 ft.
Mirador and Guadalupe, the field's main producing zones, will be completed later.

Petrominerales has drilled Corcel-F1 to 11,926 ft and is preparing to run intermediate casing to the top of Mirador. Then it will spud Corcel-B1 by the end of June.

The company is moving a rig to the Chiguiro Este exploration block to spud Chiguiro Este-1 this week.
