Cimarex, Chevron arrange MarkWest processing deal

Cimarex Energy and Chevron signed long-term, free-based agreements with MarkWest Energy Partners LP of Denver for gas processing services in the Delaware Basin of West Texas.

MarkWest will install a 200 MMcfd cryogenic plant to be named the Hidalgo Complex in Culberson County, Tex., and plans for the plant to become operational during the second quarter of 2016.

Frank Semple, MarkWest chairman, president, and chief executive officer, said MarkWest has provided midstream services for Chevron in east Texas for more than a decade.

MarkWest is a master limited partnership that owns and operates midstream service businesses with a presence in various gas plays including the Marcellus, Utica, Haynesville, and Woodford.
