Aberdeen, has announced the promotion of Malcolm Gray-Stephens to technical services manager, Middle East & Asia Pacific region for BJ Tubular Services. Based in Dubai, Gray-Stephens oversees all torque-turn operations in the region, as well as the division's workshop in Singapore. He earned a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University in England.

BJ Services Co. is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

Sydney, Australia, is the new name of Ci Technologies. The name change is part of a corporate restructuring to leverage the core product, Citect.

Citect is a leader in industrial automation and information management. The company has offices in Australia, US, Europe, China, and Africa.

Dresser-Rand Co. and Hoerbiger Corp.

Painted Post, NY, have announced an alliance to market, install, and service a non-hydraulic, high-pressure fuel injection system for large bore natural gas engines that was jointly developed by Hoerbiger and Altronic Inc. The product, HyperFuel Valve System, was introduced in 2001.

Dresser-Rand Co. is a leader in energy conversion technology including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, expanders, gas turbine packages, and control systems.

Hoerbiger is an independent manufacturer of wear components for reciprocating compressors.

Friede Goldman Halter Inc.

Gulfport, Miss., has elected T. Jay Collins to serve as chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Collins also serves as chairman of the corporate restructuring committee. He is overseeing the final stages of the bankruptcy process while continuing his full time position as president of Oceaneering International Inc.

Friede Goldman Halter designs and manufactures equipment for the maritime and offshore energy industries. Its core operating units are Friede Goldman Offshore, involved in construction, upgrade, and repair of drilling units, mobile production units, and offshore construction equipment; and Halter Marine Inc., involved in the design and construction of small and medium size vessels for government, commercial, and energy markets. Plans are underway for the sale of a third unit, Friede & Goldman Ltd., a naval architectural and marine engineering business.
