Houston, has announced formation of Schlumberger Oil & Gas Information Solutions, a new operating unit of Schlumberger Oilfield Services. The new group will deliver solutions to enable real-time reservoir management and business optimization across the exploration and production information spectrum.

Sigma Coatings

New Orleans, has announced a partnership with Wilson to serve the high-performance coatings needs of the Gulf Coast offshore drilling and production marketplace. Sigma Coatings' product line will be carried by Wilson through its network of over 100 branches in the US, with a high concentration in the Gulf Coast area.

Sigma Coatings, which dates back to 1722, provides products including solvent-free coatings, epoxies and urethanes with unlimited overcoat time, zinc primers, no-bake phenolics, and high heat coatings.

Houston, has announced the election of Robert S. Sullivan as chairman of the board of directors. The announcement follows the retirement of C. Jim Stewart II, who had served as a board member for 46 years and as chairman for the last 25 years.

Sullivan, who has served on the board since 1992, is dean of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He holds a doctorate in operations management from Pennsylvania State University, a master's degree in production management and quantitative methods from Cornell University, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Boston College.
