Here's the new 35 Series three-piece, enclosed-bolt design, standard-bore, lever-operated ball valve, available in WCB and CF8M investment-cast bodies.

These new valves are available in sizes 1/2 through 2 in.

The 35 Series is available with a carbon-steel body with stainless ball and stem, or a stainless-steel body with stainless ball and stem. The end connections are NPT threads or socket-weld. Standard features include an API 607 4th edition fire-safe design, live-loaded stem packing with grounded ball and stem, blowoutproof stem with vented ball in stem slot, ISO actuator-mounting pad, and locking lever or oval handle.

Valves can be used in chemical and petrochemical operations.

The new Model 4101-27 ethylene oxide gas sensor provides a linear 4-20 ma signal of ethylene oxide gas concentration with a range of 0-20 ppm. This signal can interface with this firm's controllers or the user's own controller or DCS system. The maker says its sensor promises accurate measurement in the low ppm range, features field proved, reliable electrochemical sensor design, and self-diagnostics. In addition, its user friendly design provides a low sensitivity check LED to inform the user when sensor replacement is due, false alarm avoidance features, and simple calibration.

This new sensor has a range of uses in chemical and petrochemical operations.

The CI-200/GPS 200 amp ac or dc current interrupter utilizes a 12 satellite engine for precise timing of the rectifier interruption.

It has five-program capability and can operate on interruption cycles as short as 0.25 sec. It can interrupt up to 200 amp at 100 v dc or up to 200 amp at 600 v ac. The unit has a keypad and LCD display to allow local programming and an RS232 port to allow programming from a PC.

The interrupter comes complete with all cables, battery charger, GPS antenna, RS232 cable, and operation manual. The battery charger is available in 120-240 v models.

Medium speed in-line pump

Here's the new medium speed pump (MSP), a variable speed, vertical in-line pump. Following API 610, 8th Edition design criteria, the MSP offers:

  • Hydraulics specifically designed for low-flow, high-head applications
  • A medium speed induction motor with variable frequency drive (VFD).
  • Low installation costs with the VFD and all auxiliaries mounted in a ready-to-connect electrical cabinet
  • Low maintenance costs with a VFD- no gearbox or lubrication system required

Featuring an Eexd(e) II C T4, IP55 explosionproof motor (Class 1, Division 1) for hazardous environments, the MSP can be controlled by motor speed (frequency) or by an integrated PI controller in response to physical parameters such as pressure and flow. Motor ratings come in a range of 22-80 kw (30-107 hp).

The MSP can be optionally designed for a horizontal end suction arrangement, and an inducer is available to help improve suction performance. The pump can be manufactured in the API 610, 8th Edition material classes S5, C6, A7, A8, and D1, and special alloys are also available. The impeller is provided in alloy 20 for all material classes.

Pump operating speeds are 2,000-8,000 rpm. At 8,000 rpm, maximum flows are 25 cu m/hr (110 gpm) and maximum heads to 600 m (1,970 ft).
