Wichita Falls, Tex., has announced the acquisition of Lyon, France-based company, Entrelec.

Entrelec is a provider of industrial automation and control products that will complement the products of ABB.

The company operates in 17 countries, and has production facilities in the US, Mexico, and Europe.

ABB Low Voltage Products & Systems, a business unit of ABB, provides low voltage control products and systems, circuit protective devices, and network quality capacitors.

Anvil International Inc.

Portsmouth, NH, has acquired Beck Manufacturing Co. Inc., a manufacturer of steel, PVC, and aluminum fittings. Beck will operate as a stand-alone division of Anvil.

Anvil International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mueller Holdings Inc., is a manufacturer of fittings and hangers.

Dunlaw Engineering Ltd. and Flotation Technologies Inc.

Aberdeen, UK, and Biddeford, Me., respectively, have announced an alliance to jointly offer their products to offshore and marine markets.

Flotation Technologies specializes in low-density, conservatively rated syntactic foams and buoyancy systems.

Dunlaw Engineering provides high performance, solid elastomer products.

Both teams offer material selection, design, system analysis, manufacture, and product testing from bases in the US, Australia, and the UK.

Foster Wheeler Ltd.

Hamilton, Bermuda, has named Raymond J. Milchovich president, chief executive officer, and chairman of the board of directors. He will succeed Richard J. Swift, who is retiring. Before joining Foster Wheeler, Milchovich held the same positions at Kaiser Aluminum Corp.

Milchovich is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and the Harvard University Advanced Management Program.

Foster Wheeler Ltd., based in Bermuda and with operational headquarters in Clinton, NJ, provides a broad range of design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, project development and management, research, plant operation, and environmental services to a global client base.

Schlumberger Oilfield Services

Houston, has announced its acquisition of Phoenix Petroleum Services, based in Inverurie, Scotland. Phoenix is a provider of tools, technologies, and techniques for optimizing production in artificially lifted wells, particularly those using submersible pumps.

Schlumberger Oilfield Services, a business segment of Schlumberger Limited, is a leading supplier of services and technology to the international petroleum industry.
