Houston, has appointed Tony Powell as chief executive officer, and Bill Graham as chief financial officer.

Houston, has appointed Tony Powell as chief executive officer, and Bill Graham as chief financial officer.

Powell worked for 28 years with Schlumberger, followed by service with John Crane Mechanical Seals, and most recently as CEO of PII Group Ltd. He earned a degree in nuclear physics at Nottingham University.

Graham previously worked with Powell as CFO of PII Group Ltd. He also had served with Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group.

Chris Lloyd, who was serving as interim CEO, will return to his role as managing director of ASCO's European operations.

ASCO PLC is a leading provider of managed supply chain solutions to the international oil and gas sector. Dallas, has named James A. Carroll as managing director. Carroll, a petroleum geophysicist, has over 32 years of domestic and international experience in both the onshore and offshore oil and gas industries. He previously had served with Delta Exploration, Gulf Oil, Dome Petroleum, Wessley Energy, and Santa Fe Minerals.

Bell & Murphy & Associates LLC provides petroleum exploration, exploitation, and production services including project planning, evaluation, and execution.

BJ Process & Pipeline Services (BJ PPS)

Aberdeen, has appointed Ewen Kleppang to the newly created position of area manager-Northern Europe and West Africa, and John Manning as area manager-Continental Europe and North Africa.

Kleppang joined BJ PPS in 1990, and was previously with Chorley's. He will be based at the division's international headquarters in Aberdeen.

Manning has been with BJ Services for 13 years, and progressed through the company in various operational and sales roles. He will be based at the company facility in Great Yarmouth.

BJ Process & Pipeline Services is a unit of BJ Services Co., a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services to the international petroleum industry.

FMC Technologies Inc. andAccentus PLC

Houston, Tex., and Abingdon, UK, respectively, have announced the establishment of a joint venture company, GTL MicroSystems, for the commercial development of gas-to-liquids technology for use in oil and gas fields with 200 mmscfd of gas production or less. Following a two-year alliance, FMC Technologies and Accentus believe they have achieved a breakthrough in fundamentals and economics of GTL technology for the exploitation of the world's stranded and associated gas reserves.

GE Oil & Gas

Florence, Italy, is enhancing its compressor manufacturing capabilities for North America through an expanded, state-of-the-art facility in Oshkosh, Wisc.

GE Gemini is relocating manufacturing and testing of its reciprocating compressor line from Corpus Christi, Tex., to the new facility in Oshkosh. Its customer support, parts, product engineering, and technical support departments will join the GE Oil & Gas and GE Aero Energy center in Houston.

GE A-C Compressor, and corporate offices, sourcing, and engineering operations, have already relocated to Oshkosh.

The Oshkosh facility produces centrifugal, rotary vane, and rotary helical lobe compressors for North American and global customers.

GE Oil & Gas is a unit of GE Power Systems. The company acquired Nuovo Pignone, a global leader in gas compression and turbogeneration products, in 1994, and has continued to expand its oil and gas business with acquisitions and partnerships.

GE Power Systems, based in Atlanta, provides equipment, service, and management solutions across the power generation, oil and gas, distributed power, and energy rental industries.

Geotrace Technologies Inc.

Denver, has promoted Lawrence C. Wood to RockResTM manager for reservoir services. Wood holds BS and MS degrees from Stanford University, a PhD from the University of Utah, and has over 40 years of industry experience.

Geotrace Technologies, Inc. provides proprietary technologies aimed at reservoir imaging and description used to enhance the optimization of petroleum reservoirs.

Wood Mackenzie Ltd.

Edinburgh, UK, has named Sondra Scott as head of energy consulting. Scott received a BA from Wesleyan University, a diplome d'ingenieur from the Institut Francais du Petrole, and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania. She was director of a US-based energy consulting business which she co-founded prior to joining Wood Mackenzie.
