New union handles high pressure, more than one media

Here’s the HPMC Series MultiPort Rotary Union for uses requiring high pressures and more than one media.

Unions are available with as many as eight ports as standard models. Special configurations are available upon request.

Each port is individually sealed, eliminating crosstalk between channels. As you clamp the slotted rotating disk into a fixture the body of the MultiPort remains in place regardless of rotation.

All unions are constructed of steel and are nickel plated as standard. This series can accommodate two to eight port configurations. Operating parameters range to as high as 250º F., 5,880 psi, and 180 rpm. Port size range is 18 to 114 in.

Oily bilge water monitor certified

The US Coast Guard has completed its certification of the TD-4100 for bilge water monitoring per International Maritime Organization requirements MEPC.107(49). This certification replaces the original IMO Resolution MEPC.60(33) with new and updated test standards. The independent laboratory testing involves oil in water measurement parameters for two different bilge oils and vibration and inclination tests.

The TD-4100 continuous oil in water monitor is qualified for oily bilge water discharge monitoring applications in any marine application, the maker notes. The unit also is certified by Transport Canada to a special Canadian bilge water discharge requirement of 5 ppm according to the Standard for Performance and Test Specifications for Bilge Alarms for Use in Canadian Inland Waters.

The TD-4100’s ultraviolet fluorescence technology detects and measures oil in water in all industrial and marine markets.
