Michael (Mike) Strachan is the Global Solutions Champion - Drilling Optimization for Halliburton, serving as a technical advisor for directional drilling and drilling optimization. Strachan has 30 years of drilling-related experience in field and managerial roles, including 15 years with Sperry Drilling in a variety of international assignments. He studied mechanical engineering at the Robert Gordons Institute of Technology in Aberdeen. He is a member, author and review committee member for SPE.
