Paul is the Requirements Supervisor at NuScale Power, in Corvallis, OR. Paul has been involved in relational databases, real-time systems, and business intelligence for two decades before managing various implementations of requirements-centric solutions. He works primarily with nuclear power plant design - which constitutes over a hundred interconnected systems whose goal is to produce power safely as well as economically.
Having a background in relational database systems has allowed him to think "outside the box" with regards to requirements management solutions for complex systems. Paul's user on-boarding techniques involve building a structure of related information, piloting a small project, showing value, and getting people interested in using the toolset in an effective manner or larger solutions.
Paul is also the leader of the Oregon Chapter of the Rational User Community and has been featured on a recent DOORS expert panel webinar.
