Sunoco Logistics Partners outlined its safety systems during a West Cornwall Township meeting in Pennsylvania on Nov. 10. Sunoco made the presentation specifically about its proposed Mariner East 1 NGL pipeline and pumping station. The pipeline would move propane and ethane from the Marcellus.

Don Zoladklewicz of Sunoco Logistics Partners community relations, made the presentation but township officials allowed no comments or questions, citing unresolved legal proceedings.

Three residents and the group Concerned Citizens of Lebanon County filed an appeal during October against a permit for a pumping station in the West Cornwall Township. Sunoco received the permit from the Lebanon County Planning Department. The proposed pumping station, which would be one of 18 pumping stations for the Mariner East 1 pipeline, would be the only one in Lebanon County. The appeal on the permit was expected to be heard during December.
