NK Technologies

NK Technologies introduces ASXP-LS Current Switches-a combination current transformer and signal conditioner designed specifically for monitoring large loads. The ASXP-LS Current Switches feature electromechanical relay output, external power source, simple field setpoint adjustment and easy installation. The mechanical relay contact provides a trouble-free, durable alarm or interlock, improving safety and overall system reliability, while the selectable "Fail Safe" operation provides protection for critical loads.

ASXP-LS Current Switches are used to monitor large machines for over or under load conditions, detect open discharge lines and sense clogged filters. They can also monitor generators to shed non-critical loads when demand reaches a set level. Key features include Split-Core Housing that allow sensors to be installed over existing conductors; Easy Installation by snapping onto DIN rail or attach to back panel through sensor base; Larger Sensing Aperture (2.3-in. w x 3.42-in. h) that accommodates conductors and multiple wires per phase; Output for use with AC or DC control circuits and for no-volt inputs (e.g. timing relay triggers); Adjustable delay allowing large motors to start against high-inertia loads without tripping; four models available with trip points between 200-1600 amps; and designed to meet UL, CUL, and CE requirements .

Innospec, Inc.

Innospec, Inc., headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, and also home to the company's main Technology Center, announced that its Independence Oilfield Chemicals (IOC) business has completed the first successful application of its innovative TruCleanTM Water Service in the Eagle Ford Shale Region, resulting in substantial cost savings when compared to conventional treatments. This service is particularly vital when oil and gas prices are low, and production costs are under extreme scrutiny.

In the oil and gas industry, effective water-management is critical. On average, a shale well requires approximately six million gallons of water to drill and complete, highlighting the need for cost-effective frac water treatment alternatives; alternatives that not only help remove contaminants naturally found in waters, but can also remediate produced waters.

As part of a pre-treatment project for a client seeking a more cost-effective, safer alternative to the industry standard, this first treatment in a frac application consisted of a custom designed delivery system that provides improved performance throughout the frac job. This service does not require onsite chemical reaction, nor does it interfere with frac fluid performance.

Innospec, Inc. is an international specialty chemicals company whose business also contains Oilfield Specialties which provides specialty chemicals for oil & gas drilling and production operations. Independence Oilfield Chemicals maintains operational facilities adjacent to most major North American oil and gas producing regions. Independence was acquired by Innospec at the end of October 2014.
