NEW OPERATOR WORK STATIONS

The new VisuNet KM915 and KM919 operator work stations help enable downstream process end users to benefit from PC-based visualization in Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations.

They consist of a 15 in. or 19 in. monitor encased in a thin but rugged NEMA 4/4x stainless or painted steel SlimLine housing suited for washdown environments, and one of three internal KVM Extenders that enable plant operators to safely operate work stations up to 400 m (1,300 ft) from the server.

VisuNet KM9x work stations extend control room HMI to the process floor without additional software licensing. They provide high quality video over long distances, enable users to keep computers and servers in a safe centralized location far away from any environmental hazards, reduce space requirements on the process plant floor, and are easy to install, even in hazardous areas, the company says.

OFFSHORE TENSION BRAKE SERIES EXPANDED

The LI-SSI Series has been added to the AquaMaKKs family of clutches and brakes designed for offshore deck environments. The series has been specially modified to withstand sea spray and direct seawater splash.

AquaMaKKs LISSB brakes promise accurate torque control for constant tensioning in heavy-duty continuous slip tension applications.

LI-SSB models utilize the basic AquaMaKKs brake housing but have special alloy stainless steel torque (center) plates installed instead of water jackets. An engineered friction material was specially designed to run against the stainless steel torque plate. Units also feature three-part epoxy marine grade paint and stainless steel hardware for added corrosion protection. LI-SSB low inertia, air-cooled, spring-set air tube release high torque brakes are available in 19, 25, and 36 in. AquaMaKKs sizes.
