Houston and Calgary, has named David S. Jones senior vice-president and COO, downhole tools; Lawrence D. Keister vice-president, finance, and CFO; and Andrew Buzinksy president, Logan Completion Systems. Jones will oversee the companies in Logan's downhole segment: Logan Oil Tools, Dennis Tool Co., and Logan Completion Systems. Jones, previously senior vice-president and CFO, has more than 25 years of experience in financial and business management. Prior to joining Logan, he was CEO and CFO of Elite Energy Services Inc. and in various financial management positions at Weatherford International Ltd. Jones has a BBA from the University of Texas. Keister will be responsible for all financial and accounting matters pertaining to Logan International, its subsidiaries, and future acquisitions. He has over 35 years of executive and financial experience in publicly and privately held companies, and private equity-sponsored entities. Previously, Keister was CFO of several energy services and construction companies. He has a BBA from the University of Houston. Buzinsky has over 22 years of experience in engineering and business management, senior management experience in the oil and gas service sector, and mechanical engineering expertise. Previously he was global business development manager, liner systems at Weatherford, and in various other managerial and engineering positions at Weatherford, Schlumberger, Baker Oil Tools, and other companies in the energy sector. He has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from Queen's University in Ontario.

Logan manufactures a complete line of downhole tools and related products and offers integrated front-end seismic services to the global oil industry's workover, intervention, and drilling community.

Petris Technology Inc.,

Houston, has appointed Chris Ring vice-president, development. She will lead the firm's development and quality assurance teams, succeeding Jeff Pferd, who assumes a new role within Petris developing and leading a new strategic consulting service to help clients define and develop best practices in wellbore, drilling, production, and master data management/information management. Ring previously held various technical positions with Landmark/Halliburton. She began her career as a petroleum geophysicist with Amoco Production Co. Ring has an MBA from Houston Baptist University and a BS with a major in geology from Michigan State University.

Petris is a leading supplier of practical data management solutions and geosciences applications to the global energy industry.

Mears Group Inc.,

Rosebush, Mich., has named Kurt Lawson senior director, integrity solutions. He will work from the company's Plain City, Ohio, office. Lawson has over 25 years of experience in corrosion and materials engineering. Previously, he was director of facility and pipeline services for DNV Columbus. From 1985 through 2005, Lawson worked for CC Technologies Inc. and served as vice-president of CC Technologies Systems Inc. Prior to that, he worked for Armco Steel Inc., performing a variety of projects and developing specific corrosion test procedures and application techniques. Lawson attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and studied metallurgical engineering with an emphasis on corrosion at Ohio State University.

Mears, part of Qanta Services, is a leader in corrosion engineering, pipeline integrity management, pipeline rehabilitation, and horizontal directional drilling services throughout North and South America.

Qanta provides specialized contracting services, delivering solutions for the electric power, natural gas and pipeline, and telecommunication industries.

Victory Energy Operations LLC,
ShettyCollinsville, Okla., has named Sanat Shetty vice-president for end-market product development. He will manage the end-market department and coordinate its initiatives with the company's engineering and thermal design resources to lead the development and introduction of new products and engineered solutions for new and existing customers. With an extensive background in product development and technical sales, Shetty brings fundamental heat transfer expertise to this role, having led the development of enhanced tube designs to achieve greater heat transfer efficiencies. He has MS and PhD degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Tulsa.

Hoover Materials Handling Group,

Houston, has named Mike Green manager of technology and regional sales manager, Gulf Coast region. Green will be responsible for sales and training for Hoover Onsite Service Solutions, the service division of Hoover that includes GPS and telemetry services, and for regional sales for Hoover's Liquitote intermediate bulk containers (IBC) products. He brings over 18 years of experience with petroleum equipment, level monitoring, and telemetry sales in the oil and gas, retail petroleum, propane, commercial/industrial, and agricultural industries. Most recently Green was with Robertshaw Industrial Products as the Southwest regional sales manager. Prior to that, he was district sales manager for Texas with Gilbarco/Veeder-Root.

Hoover provides IBC fabrication, maintenance, and program management capabilities as well as IBC fleet management and maintenance.

T.D. Williamson Inc. (TDW),
BenjaminTulsa, has appointed Mike Benjamin vice-president, offshore pipeline solutions, in Houston. He will focus on implementing the full array of TDW products and services within the offshore arena. Formerly of Schlumberger, Benjamin has extensive experience in both operations and international sales, particularly in the offshore sector, along with 25 years in the oil field service industry. He has a BS in petroleum engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

TDW provides hot tapping and plugging, pipeline cleaning, geometry and magnetic flux leakage inspection, pigging, and nontethered plugging pig technology services for pressurized pipeline systems worldwide.

Baker Hughes,

Houston, has named Dean Gaddy, former drilling editor of Oil & Gas Journal, business development manager in charge of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in northwestern Siberia. Gaddy has worked in the former Soviet Union since leaving OGJ in 2001, most recently in Kiev as president-Eurasia, Kuwait Energy Co. He earlier was manager of technological products for TNK-BP in Moscow and, before that, operations manager for Devon Energy-Russia in Tatarstan.

Baker Hughes provides reservoir consulting, drilling, pressure pumping, formation evaluation, completion, and production products and services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.

ICoTA's European chapter,
GrassickAberdeen, has appointed a new chairman, Rob Grassick, and vice-chairman, Callum Munro. Grassick, former ICoTA vice-chairman, treasurer, and co-chair, is sales manager at TCO In-Well Technologies, Aberdeen. He succeeds Daniele Petrone. With 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Grassick has been involved in successfully introducing new technologies and applications to the well intervention industry, including milling and cleaning applications on an electric line. Munro, a senior intervention engineer at BP PLC, is responsible for identifying and implementing new well technologies at BP.

ICoTA (Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association) is a worldwide, not-for-profit, member-funded organization that promotes the value of well intervention solutions within the oil and gas industry and to raise awareness of well intervention as a worthy discipline for new entrants.

Bredero Shaw FJS,

Ellon, Scotland, is the new trade name of the business unit grouping most of the field joint and custom coating application activities previously managed by Bredero Shaw, a division of ShawCor Ltd., Toronto. Field joint and custom coatings had been for decades one of the main activities of Bredero Shaw and were fully integrated in the division’s organizational structure. On Jan. 1, 2008, Bredero Shaw Field Joints Custom Coating Services was created through the consolidation of the Ellon Factory and International Custom Coating activities and Orkanger Field Joint Coating activities into a new and separate business unit of ShawCor.

UTEC Survey Construction Services Ltd.,
PintoAberdeen, has appointed Carlo Pinto regional sales and marketing manager. He will focus on developing new business opportunities in Europe, the Middle East, and West Africa. Pinto's experience includes more than 15 years in the offshore survey business. He held a number of management positions with Geolab SRL and was most recently the company's commercial manager.

UTEC Survey is one of the world's largest independent offshore survey companies, providing a wide range of offshore survey services, including construction support, industrial measurement, positioning, geotechnical, and geophysical survey services.

Prosernat,

Paris, has signed a joint venture agreement with Shoaibi Group, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to form Prosernat Saudi Arabia Ltd. (PNSA). Under the JV, PNSA will offer a full range of natural gas treatment, processing, and CO2 capture services that entail process technologies, studies, procurement, construction, commissioning,start‐up, operation, and maintenance for field gas separation, oil desalting, and gas treatment facilities, including gas dehydration, gas sweetening, NGL recovery, sulfur recovery, and modular units in Saudi Arabia.

Prosernat, a wholly owned subsidiary of IFP Energies Nouvelles, is a specialized natural gas treatment and processing technology and equipment supplier to the oil and gas industry.

Shoaibi, through JVs, international partnerships, and subsidiaries, operates in manufacturing, services, product distribution, and investment predominantly for the oil, gas, and petrochemical sector across the Middle East and North Africa.

Oslo, has expanded its executive management team. Aker appointed

Wolfgang Puennel head of the new well intervention services business area. Puennel's experience includes working 20 years for Weatherford, where he held various management roles. Since 2009 he has worked as an independent advisor for a Germany-based renewable energy company. Mark Riding takes up the new position of head of corporate strategic marketing, where he will coordinate relationships with key customers, country strategies, and corporate merger and acquisition opportunities. He has 28 years of oil industry experience in senior roles and international assignments. Riding previously worked for Schlumberger, where he oversaw deepwater corporate strategic planning, sales, and technology development worldwide. Valborg Lundegaard has been promoted to lead the new engineering business area within Aker Solutions. She has 25 years of oil and gas industry experience, including a number of management positions within Aker Solutions. Meanwhile, the Aker board has extended Oyvind Eriksen's assignment as executive chairman until further notice. This will allow the new organization to continue to implement strategy apace, including separation and listing of Aker Contractors. Also as part of the strengthening of Aker Solutions management, Per Harald Kongelf has been appointed COO. He will assume his new position as soon as he is relieved of his current temporary assignment heading the future Aker Contractors company. The process to recruit a new president and CEO to Aker Contractors continues.

Godwin Pumps,

Bridgeport, NJ, has opened a new branch office in Dallas. The office is colocated with ITT Flowtronics. The new facility provides sales, rentals, and service of Dri-Prime, hydraulic submersible Heidra, and gasoline-powered Wet-Prime pumps. Also available are pipe, hose, and other accessories. Customers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area now have access to a range of Godwin pumps, including the CD series for high-volume dewatering applications, and the HL series of high head pumps.

Godwin Pumps, a wholly owned subsidiary of ITT Corp., maintains a fleet of over 6,000 portable rental pumps and 3,200 pieces of related equipment for use in dewatering in construction, mining, and quarrying; drinking water supply; and wastewater bypasses in municipal, industrial, and environmental markets.

ITT operates globally in water and fluids management, global defense and security, and motion and flow control.

American Pollution Control Corp. (Ampol),

New Iberia, La., has agreed with ICS DB LLC, Scott, La., to establish an environmental services division based in Rio de Janeiro. Managed under ICS DB Pres. David Ball, the Brazilian division will offer rig and vessel cleaning services out of docks in Rio de Janeiro through a 20-year contract with Wilson, Sons. ICS DB/Ampol was to begin shipping equipment to Brazil by the end of April and to have environmental services up and running by early May.

Ampol offers oil spill response, tank cleaning, confined space entry services, naturally occurring radioactive material treatment and storage, lead and asbestos abatement services, insulation services, hazardous material emergency cleanup, soil remediation, demolition services, marine transportation, and spill equipment manufacturing.

ICS DB recycles and reuses fluids generated through drilling mud and production processes onshore and offshore.

In operation since 1848, Wilson, Sons has facilities and operations in the Brazilian offshore market and is known for marine services and logistics.

Multi-Chem,
ToscanoPrejean

San Angelo, Tex., has promoted Sam Toscano to executive director of operations, western division, and Annie Prejean to succeed him as special projects manager, US. Toscano will be responsible for strategy development to improve company performance, regional oversight, and management of the proposal fulfillment team. He came to Multi-Chem in 2008 from Baker Petrolite, where he was region technical manager. Toscano has a BA in chemistry and biology from St. Louis University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Prejean was previously manager of global business development, responsible for outside and inside sales for all product lines, project management, report and recommendation writing, and customer training. She will oversee business strategies for worldwide operations and individual customer proposals for completion and production products for unconventional oil and gas plays and deepwater projects. Prejean joined Multi-Chem from Champion Technologies, where she was manager of deepwater business development. She has a BS in chemical engineering and an MBA from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.

Multi-Chem provides production and completion chemicals for flow assurance, enhanced gas recovery, fracturing technology, and pipeline treatments.
