New labeler for oil field use
The new thermal transfer labeler Dura-Label 2000 PLUS prints on 1⁄2 in., 1 in., and 2 in. vinyl for oil field use.

The portable, 2.7 lb unit is suited for pipe marking, equipment identification, rack labeling, electrical panel labeling, safety information labeling, bar code labeling, wire and cable wrapping, and valve tagging.

It operates on a rechargeable battery and features large LCD screen, zero printer cool-down time required, and fast print speed. Its battery prints 100 ft of labels on one charge. Printing at 0.40 in./sec, it automatically sizes text and images to fill the space on the label.

Its viewable LCD screen measures 2.62 in. by 1.31 in. and shows five lines of a label design at a given time and provides an easy-to-read, high resolution display (256 by 128 pixels).

The DuraLabel 2000 PLUS has two alternating heat elements, which means zero printer cool-down time is required. The printer will not overheat then shut down at inconvenient times during the labeling process, the firm says.

High temperature AC power line regulator

A new line of SVR-PL Series ultrawide temperature ac power line regulators is designed for exploration, production, and downstream processing operations.

Available in five power models, the line has been designed to operate from –22° F. to +149° F. (–30° C. to +65° C.). Rack mount and tower configured ac line regulators are suited for use in variable high and low temperature applications where maintaining a constant temperature is required.

The new design includes optimized cooling and a high-temperature LED display made from material that is more tolerant of lower and higher temperatures. In addition, internal components have been enhanced to handle more extreme temperature conditions.

The solid-state SVR-PL 1 kVA, 1.5 kVA, 2 kVA, 2.5 kVA, and 3 kVA models provide clean, regulated, sine wave output power even when operating from an unregulated incoming AC power source, such as from an on-site generator. This gives users the highest level of protection against a spectrum of power problems.

The SVR-PL is equipped with an NFPA-70, NEC 645-11 compliant remote emergency power off interface.

New oil-free compressors
Two new T-Style compressors—Models T791 and T891—are oil-free units designed for applications that require maximum leakage control.

The T791 is a two-stage compressor with a working pressure of 615 psia (42.4 bar), while the T891 (shown here) is a single-stage compressor with a working pressure of 465 psia (32.1 bar). Both are double-acting machines with piston displacement just over 100 cfm (169.9 cu m/hr).

The T-Style design offers two distance pieces or barriers to external leakage. Each distance piece has its own line connections and can be separately pressurized, purged, padded, and-or vented providing a range of application flexibility when handling volatile organic chemicals, toxic, hazardous, and explosive gases. When properly equipped and installed, the T891 complies with 1990 US Environmental Protection Agency regulations 40 CFR CH Section 264.1053.

The T891 is available with three standard mounting options. If one of the standard mountings does not meet the application requirement, custom mountings and skids are also available.

With a T-style design, the distance between each set of packing is greater than the stroke of the compressor so there's no rod over travel or oil carryover. In the event that oil gets past the lower packing set, the oil deflector ring keeps the oil from rising up the piston rod in the lower distance piece. Additionally, the lower packing set has an adjustable packing screw used to maintain the sealing performance. These features allow the compressor to supply oil-free gas whether it's being used as a simple gas booster or for vacuum service

Vacuum removes powder at rate of 3-5 tons/hr

This new vacuum safely removes 3-5 tons of powder in an hour, its maker says.

Suited for cleaning up large volumes of downstream soda ash and other difficult powders, the heart of the 1020 industrial vacuum cleaner is a positive displacement pump, or rotary lobe.

The continuous duty 1020 is available in three models, with either a 10 hp or a 15 hp motor. Its PTFE filter media is rated 99.9% efficient at 1 µ, contributing to a better respiratory environment for workers, the firm points out.
