New Digital Pressure Gauge

Here's the new PG10 digital pressure gauge, an IP65 rated indoor-outdoor unit that features a 5.5 in. display casing, five-digit display with characters at 0.68 in. tall, and a 270° digital "dial" or radial bar graph that shows a user-selectable pressure range of 0-100%.

Operators can determine where the pressure level is in context to a custom-input range in an instant. The unit's four-button setup adds to its user-friendly nature by providing access to the gauge's features and settings."

Standard features include tare, peak hold, and max-min readings, as well as user-selectable units of measure and an auto-off timer. Options include two solid-state relays or SPDT mechanical relay outputs for basic to semiadvanced automation.

The operating temperature range is 0-160° F., with ±0.25% accuracy of full scale. Pressure ranges are from vacuum to 500 psi, or 0-10,000 psi. Outputs are 0-2 v DC for battery-powered units, 4-20 mA for loop-powered units, and 0-5 v DC for externally powered units.

New Spill Compliance Guide

A newly published document is designed to guide users in achieving compliance with US government spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) regulations for oil storage tanks.

This environmental remediation firm's guide helps demystify compliance with SPCC requirements that have become increasingly complicated in recent years, brought on by changes to deadlines, amendments, and case laws. The SPCC guide outlines current compliance obligations for owners and-or operators of facilities with oil storage tanks.

The SPCC plan exists as a preventative effort by the US Environmental Protection Agency to eliminate or mitigate the threat of potential oil spills into or upon navigable waters of the US or adjoining shorelines through the regulation of oil storage tanks.

The document can be accessed at http://www.piedmontgeologic.com/spcc-guide.
