Petris Technology Inc.,

MarinHouston, has named Jerry Martin vice-president, Western Hemisphere, and appointed two new product managers, Greg Palmer and Stephan Dumothier, and an account manager, Mike Zyglicki, to the Houston office. Martin will direct sales efforts and lead operational support of Petris solutions in North and South America. Most recently, Martin served as vice-president, sales, Western Hemisphere. Prior to joining Petris, Martin was president and CEO of ZEH, which Petris acquired in 2009. Palmer is product manager for PetrisWINDS Operations Management Suite, an integrated data management solution fordrilling, production, and field asset management. He has more than 20 years of drilling, production, and software industry experience, most recently with Halliburton Landmark. Palmer has a BS in accounting from the University of Houston and a BS in management from the University of Phoenix. Dumothier, product manager for the Petris data management portfolio of products, comes to Petris with more than 14 years of software experience in the oil and gas industry, including more than 9 years in management roles across the US, Europe, and North Africa. He was most recently a manager at Schlumberger Information Solutions in charge of strategic projects recovery. Dumothier has a post-MS degree in computer science and earth sciences, and an MS and a BS in computer science from the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie. Zyglicki, the newest account manager for the Western Hemisphere, brings 10 years of experience in the oil and gas market from working at both PGS and Schlumberger. He holds BS and MS degrees in management and industrial engineering from Silesian Technical University in Poland and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Baker Hughes,

Houston, has acquired Meyer & Associates, Natrona Heights, Pa. Meyer & Associates' MFrac software provides comprehensive design and evaluation simulations containing a variety of options, including 3D fracture geometry and integrated acid fracturing solutions, for hydraulic fracturing, produced water, and cuttings reinjection applications. Recently, Meyer & Associates added an innovative approach to simulation of hydraulic fracturing in shale gas plays to its suite of software products. With the acquisition, Baker Hughes enhances its capabilities to design hydraulic fracturing simulation plans for unconventional gas, tight formations in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, and carbonates in the Middle East. The software also complements Baker Hughes's geomechanical modeling capabilities. In addition, the MFrac software will allow the Baker Hughes reservoir development services (RDS) group to expand the consulting and training business in hydraulic fracturing design and evaluation. The MFrac software will be rolled out within RDS in conjunction with a client training program on hydraulic fracturing design and the application of MFrac.

Baker Hughes provides reservoir consulting, drilling, pressure pumping, formation evaluation, completion, and production products and services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.

RigNet Inc.,

Houston, has signed an agreement with Stratos Global to become an authorized distributor of Inmarsat and Iridium mobile satellite services (MSS) provided by Stratos. The agreement establishes RigNet as a Stratos Channel Partner, further enabling it to deliver superior remote-communication solutions to its customers in the drilling, production, and energy maritime markets. Leading MSS solutions, including Inmarsat's FleetBroadband and BGAN and Iridium's 9555 handheld phones and OpenPort global IP data service, will provide RigNet customers with more options for mobile satellite connections and integrated backup communications.

Stratos, a subsidiary of Inmarsat PLC, offers a powerful and extensive worldwide portfolio of remote communications solutions, including mobile and fixed satellite and microwave services.

Cybernetix Oil & Gas SA,

Marseille, has delivered on a second subcontract, for flowline facilities, for the Kashagan oil field development megaproject in the Caspian Sea from contractor Saipem SPA. Cybernetix delivered a package of subsea temperature monitoring (TM) systems to equip multiphase pipelines as part of the hydrate prevention and management program in Kashagan, operated by AGIP KCO. An initial set of TM systems had been successfully delivered to SAIPEM for the Kashagan project and commissioned by Cybernetix in mid-2008.

Meanwhile, Cybernetix has signed two major contracts with Single Buoy Moorings Inc. for Total E&P's Usan deepwater oil field development off Nigeria. Cybernetix was awarded engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and onshore integration and offshore start-up services for the complete telemetry, navigation aids, and power supply for a catenary anchor leg mooring deepwater buoy that is the heart of Usan's primary oil export system. Usan is being developed with subsea wells tied back to a floating production, storage, and offloading vessel.

London, has named Rodney Snyder vice-president. He will advise the firm's clients on corporate transactions. Previously, Snyder worked at Merrill Lynch as a vice-president in its global industries group. Prior to that, he worked at Jeffrey Williams & Co., Industry Corporate Finance Ltd., and ING Barings LLC. Snyder has a masters in finance from London Business School and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Godwin Pumps,

OhstromBridgeport, NJ, has appointed Per Ohstrom vice-president, worldwide marketing and business development. He will oversee Godwin's marketing, communications, training, product management, and worldwide business development and market management.

He has more than 15 years of experience in industrial product and service marketing and business development. Previously, Ohstrom was vice-president of marketing at RSC Equipment Rental. Prior to that, he worked at Hagemeyer North America, CHEP, Rohm & Haas, and International Paper. Ohstrom has a BS from Lulea University of Technology, and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Godwin, a direct, wholly owned subsidiary of ITT Corp., maintains a fleet of over 6,000 portable rental pumps and 3,200 pieces of related equipment for use in dewatering in construction, mining, and quarrying; in drinking water supply; and in wastewater bypasses in municipal, industrial, and environmental markets.

Houston, has appointed David Vinzant vice-president, sales. He has over 30 years of industry experience and joins PAS from SunGard Energy, where he was the COO and head of sales. Prior to SunGard, he held executive-level positions at Invensys and TransEnergy. Vinzant, who holds a BS in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, has global experience in multiple industries, including oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, and utilities. For the last 15 years, he has managed customer-facing activities for all phases of sales and delivery of implemented software and industrial automation solutions.

Falcon also currently operates in a five-state region of the Southwestern U.S., including areas such as the Haynesville, Barnett, Fayetteville, and Eagle Ford shale basins.

Lakewood, Colo., has named P. Elliott Burnside permanent CEO and president. In 2009, the company's board, along with equity partner Clearview Capital, hired Burnside. He has been the interim leader since that time. Burnside has more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive, providing financial, operational, and manufacturing advisory and restructuring services. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Burnside has held various senior executive-level positions.

Meanwhile, Hettinger has appointed Bob Miller manager of its Marcellus district. In this role, he will oversee all oil and gas pipeline day-to-day operations as well as facilitate business development opportunities throughout the Eastern Division and Marcellus shale area. Previously, he worked as electrical division manager and business development manager for Bi-Con Services Inc. and electrical area supervisor and electrical engineer for BE& K. A member of the Independent Electrical Contractor Association, Miller attended Shawnee State University. He also received specialized project management training at Purdue University.

Hettinger is one of the largest construction service and pipeline companies in the Rocky Mountain region serving the oil and gas, mining, and utility industries. Recently, Hettinger expanded operations, opening offices in the Haynesville shale area in Louisiana, the Marcellus shale area in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and North Dakota.
