Knowledge Reservoir

and 3GiG, both of Houston, have announced a collaborative initiative with Hess Corp. to implement a global asset management portal. The initiative uses 3GiG's Prospect Director solution in the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide, business information management system to support the global asset management process at Hess.

Energy Delta Institute (EDI),

Groningen, the Netherlands, has appointed Tans van Kleef president, replacing Catrinus Jepma, who is stepping down but will remain active as scientific director of the EDIaal program. Recently, SNN (Northern Netherlands Provinces) granted EDI a subsidy for the EDIaal program, which is aimed at developing training programs about the role of natural gas in a sustainable future. Denisa Kasova will stay on as managing director of EDI BV. During the past 10 years, van Kleef served as manager of the UNECE Gas Centre based in Geneva.

EDI is an international energy business school based in Groningen, with a primary focus on natural gas. The school's main objective is to contribute to the professional development of current and future energy managers. EDI coordinates research projects and organizes training programs with a focus on the economic, management, legal, and geopolitical aspects of the energy business. It was founded in 2003 by major international partners, including NV Nederlandse Gasunie, OAO Gazprom, and the University of Groningen, and later joined by Royal Dutch Shell and RWE as founding partners. Associated partners include Essent Electrabel, EBN, and DONG Energy.

McKinnon & Clarke,

Fife, Scotland, has adopted a new corporate identity: M&C Energy Group. In addition, the company recently completed the acquisition of energy risk consultancy Encore for £6.25 million. Following the acquisition of Encore, M&C is now one of the world's largest independent energy consultancies, with 3,500 clients across 40 countries in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the US, representing 150 of the world's largest international businesses.

M&C Energy Group was founded in the UK in 1976. The company specializes in data gathering and the procurement, planning, and ongoing management of energy costs and usage, enabling clients to operate more efficiently while also making significant savings to their energy costs. M&C also offers energy management services, including purchasing, engineering, environmental solutions, and auditing of energy and utilities markets.
