Dong E&P Norge AS in May installed the subsea manifold and template on the Trym field that lies off Norway, just north of the Norwegian-Danish North Sea border. Dong E&P will tie the subsea production system back to the Maersk Olie og Gas AS-operated Harald platform in the Danish sector, 6 km south of Trym.

Trym, discovered in 1990, lies in 65 m of water in Norway's North Sea Block 3/7-4, about 300 km southwest of Kristiansand, Norway.

DONG E&P submitted the 2.4 billion kroner development plan to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate in October 2008.

The field will produce through two horizontal subsea completed wells. The gas from Harald will enter DONG Energy's gas pipeline to the Tyra platform and onwards to Nybro in Denmark or Den Helder in the Netherlands. The company will move the condensate from Harald via Gorm field to Fredericia in Denmark through DONG Energy's liquids pipeline.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate's 2009 Facts says Tyrm has reserves of 4.2 billion cu m of gas and 1.1 million cu m of condensate. DONG E&P expects Trym production to start by yearend 2010.

Operator DONG E&P has a 50% interest in the production license. Its partner is Bayerngas Norge AS 50%.
