Flint Energy Services Ltd.,

Calgary, and Sub-One Technology Inc., Pleasanton, Calif., have agreed to form a new jointly owned company to produce and market a Sub-One's InnerArmor technology. Owned 51% by Flint and 49% by Sub-One, the company will operate in North America and provide surface treatment services to the oil and gas industry. Flint expects its initial investment in the first year to be up to $7 million, in part to purchase Sub-One shares. Flint InnerArmor will operate as part of Flint's production services business segment in the US and Canada, sharing resources and facilities as required. Both firms will transfer key employees into the company.

Flint provides a range of integrated products and services for the oil and gas industry, including production services, infrastructure construction, oil field transportation, and maintenance services.

Sub-One Technology's InnerArmor process applies a high-performance, chemically inert, protective treatment that reduces operational costs associated with corrosion, erosion, and abrasive wear in the internal surfaces of pipes, valves, elbows, and other metal products.

PAS,

Houston, has appointed William Dennison vice-president and general manager, Europe and Africa. Dennison, with more than 30 years of industry experience, will build market awareness of PAS's products and services in Europe and Africa. He recently joined PAS from Honeywell International Inc., where he worked in sales and operations for nearly 30 years. Dennison has an automation and process control degree from the University of Wales and accreditation for a degree in business administration from Executive Education College in Southern Africa.

PAS provides software and services that improve the automation and operational effectiveness of power and process plants.

Production Control Services (PCS),

Frederick. Colo., and OleumTech, Irvine, Calif., have partnered to offer the oil and gas market digital oil field automation and wireless SCADA solutions. The two equipment manufacturers will leverage their market-specific expertise to offer operators a broader range of well monitoring capabilities. The companies' combined offering provides operators a single source for automated well control, field data acquisition, and wireless tank level monitoring. PCS and OleumTech have already completed and deployed a successful joint automation project for a large oil and gas producer in the DJ Basin.

Since 1985, PCS has focused solely on production optimization, including solutions for artificial lift, nitrogen generation, and SCADA/well automation.

OleumTech is a leading manufacturer of industrial automation systems for remote monitoring and control.
