Knowledge Reservoir,

Houston, has named Larry Denver president. Previously, he served as chairman and CEO of Ascend Geo LLC, a provider of cable-free seismic recording equipment, since 2006. Denver will continue as chairman of Ascend. Prior to Ascend, he held senior executive positions at Schlumberger, ION Geophysical Corp., Stratamodel Inc., and TraceStone LLC. He was a partner at Simmons Company Fund, serving concurrently as chairman of the board of World Oil magazine. Knowledge Reservoir also appointed B.J. Crouse general manager, Middle East and Far East. Previously, Crouse was vice-president, sales, at Ascend. Crouse has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry in technical, managerial, and sales roles. He has managed software and data service businesses based in the US, UK, China, Thailand, and Venezuela, ranging from a broad suite of reservoir applications to geophysical processing and acquisition services. Prior to Ascend, he served as software sales manager with Schlumberger in its information solutions division. Crouse will locate in Muscat and lead Knowledge Reservoir growth in both the Middle East and Far East regions.

Houston, has elected Orjan Svanevik to its board. Svanevik represents Cubera Private Equity AS, a private equity fund advisor. Previously, Svanevik worked as head of mergers and acquisitions at Aker ASA, COO at Kvaerner ASA, head of business development at Aker Solutions, strategy director at Arkwright, and controller at Schlumberger. Svanevik has a master's in general economics from the Norwegian School of Management and an MBA from Thunderbird University.
