Tenaris SA Luxembourg, has announced acquisition of Tubman International Ltd., the company holding over 84% equity in the Romanian company, S.C. Silcotub SA, and controlling interest in three minor subsidiaries.

Luxembourg, has announced acquisition of Tubman International Ltd., the company holding over 84% equity in the Romanian company, S.C. Silcotub SA, and controlling interest in three minor subsidiaries.

Silcotub is a leading Romanian producer of small-diameter seamless pipe for OCTG and other applications. Its facilities include a continuous mandrel mill, finishing facilities, and a cold-drawing plant.

Tenaris SA is a leading global manufacturer of seamless steel pipe products, and provides pipe handling, stocking, and distribution services to the oil and gas, energy, and mechanical industries.

BJ Process & Pipeline Services

Aberdeen, has announced the appointment of Iain MacLennan as business development manager for the Continental Europe-Northern Africa region. He is based in Great Yarmouth, England.

MacLennan has 15 years of industry experience with Nowsco, Salvesen Well Services, Expro Group, and BJ Services.

BJ Services is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

Callidus Technologies LLC

Tulsa, has been purchased by the senior leadership of the firm from its parent company, Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I). Leading the buyout group is William P. Bartlett, president and CEO.

Callidus Technologies provides state-of-the-art solutions for refining and petrochemical clients worldwide in the areas of combustion and environmental technology. The company designs and fabricates burners, flares, incinerators, and vapor control systems, as well as providing engineering, consultation, and installation services.

CB&I will continue to purchase its combustion products from Callidus, and will be represented on the Callidus board of directors.

Minneapolis, has named Ronald G. Lacy as general manager of its Gas Turbine Systems (GTS) business unit. Before joining Donaldson in 1995, Lacy had been with Rockwell International. He holds a BS degree from Central Missouri State University, an MBA from Xavier University, and has done additional graduate work at the Carlson School of the University of Minnesota. He is accredited by the American Inventory & Production Control Society of America.

Donaldson Co. Inc. is a leading worldwide provider of filtration systems and replacement parts. The GTS group specializes in air inlet filtration systems for gas turbines and large rotating equipment.

Malibu Engineering & Software Ltd.

Calgary, has announced the appointment of Cecil F. Shewchuk, PhD, as chief executive officer. He replaces Malibu founder Garry E. Perry, who now focuses on R&D as the company's president and chief technology officer. Shewchuk has over 30 years of experience in high tech software development.

Carlsbad, Calif., has appointed Gerry Gilbert president and CEO, as well as member of the board of directors.

Gilbert's career spans 35 years, with stints in E&P with Baker Hughes, and vice-president roles at Western Atlas and Halliburton. Most recently, he was senior vice-president international at Transworld Exploration & Production.

Oluma Inc. is a leading provider of optical sensing solutions. The company designs, manufactures, and markets a suite of high-performance fiber optic products and systems based on Oluma's patented platform.

Beta Machinery Analysis Ltd.

Calgary and Houston, has announced new ownership and management team. Russell Barss has joined the company as president and chairman of the board, joining existing directors Bryan Long, Brian Howes, and Tom Klein. Luis De la Roche has been appointed US operations manager, and has relocated from Calgary to Houston. Company founders Dave Schuh and Nel Schuh have retired.

Beta Machinery Analysis Ltd. provides design, performance analysis, and troubleshooting services for heavy equipment to customers in a wide range of industries including oil and gas producers, petrochemical plants, and pipelines.

LaBarge Pipe & Steel Co.

Houston, has announced the opening of a new steel pipe coating plant enabling the company to apply external fusion bond epoxy (FBE) coating to steel pipe in a variety of diameters and lengths.

Geotrace Technologies Inc.

Houston, has named John Weigant as depth migration manager. Weigant has more than 15 years of industry experience, beginning with service with Amerada Hess. More recently, he was a vice-president with NuTec, then vice-president of US operations for Core Laboratories Reservoir Technologies Div.

Weigant earned a BS degree in geophysics from the University of Oklahoma, and pursued graduate studies in geophysics, mathematics, and computer science.

Geotrace Technologies Inc. is an integrated, reservoir services company that provides subsurface imaging solutions to the oil and gas industry.
