ExxonMobil Corp. announced several senior management changes.

Donald D. Humphreys was named vice-president and treasurer. He succeeds Frank A. Risch, who will retire June 30. Humphreys currently serves as vice-president and controller.

Patrick T. Mulva, vice-president, investor relations, and secretary, will assume Humphreys's responsibilities. These appointments become effective July 1.

Independent moves

Pebercan Inc., Montreal, named Gilles Frachon president and CEO, succeeding Michel Reybier.

Succeeding Frachon as vice-president, finances, the board appointed Veronique Jallabert who previously was administration manager.

Tony Maranto was promoted to vice-president and general manager of the Oklahoma City operations of Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. He succeeded Steven B. Coleman, who was named vice-president and general manager of EOG's operations in Tyler, Tex., in March. Maranto joined the company in 1995 as a reservoir engineer and 2 years ago was promoted to division engineering manager and leader of the Texas Panhandle team.

Before joining EOG, Coleman held various engineering and production management positions with Exxon Co. USA.

Forest Oil Corp., Denver, appointed Robert B. Wofford vice-president, oil and gas marketing.

Wofford worked most recently with Devon Energy Corp., Oklahoma City, where he was manager, gas marketing and supply.

Denver-based Patina Oil & Gas Corp. named Ted D. Brown senior vice-president, operations. Brown comes to Patina from Williams Cos. Inc., Tulsa.

Separately, the company promoted three individuals to senior positions. Donald R. Shaw was promoted to vice-president, asset development; Michael J. Wendling to vice-president, reservoir engineering; and Scott J. Reasoner to vice-president, operations, of Colorado's Denver-Julesburg basin.

MarkWest Hydrocarbon Inc., Englewood, Colo., named James G. Ivey chief financial officer.

Ivey most recently served as treasurer and acting chief financial officer for Williams, where he spent 9 years in the finance and accounting department.

Ivey succeeds Don Heppermann, who retired Mar. 1. Heppermann remains on MarkWest's and Markwest Energy Partners' boards and serves as chairman of the firm's finance committee.

Canadian Superior Energy Inc., Calgary, announced that several senior El Paso Oil & Gas Canada Inc. management personnel will join the company's management team.

Each of these individuals will be joining Canadian Superior by July 15, upon completion of their duties associated with the sale and transition of El Paso Oil & Gas Canada's western Canadian assets to BG PLC.

Harvey R. Klingensmith will be joining Canadian Superior as chief operating officer; David Purcell as chief financial officer; Mel Marshall as vice-president, exploration; and Tony Sartorelli as senior geophysicist.

Klingensmith also will be nominated to become a director of Canadian Superior at the company's annual meeting. Klingensmith has been president of El Paso Oil & Gas Canada since 2002.
