Chris Kendall has been named chief operating officer of Plano, Tex.-based independent Denbury Resources Inc., assuming responsibilities lately handled by Pres. and Chief Executive Officer Phil Rykhoek.
Kendall most recently was senior vice-president, global operations services, at Noble Energy Inc., Houston, where he had worked since 2001. An engineering graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, he began his career with Mobil Oil Corp. in 1989.
