KKR, Fleur de Lis buy Wyoming carbon dioxide assets

KKR and Fleur de Lis Energy have acquired properties related to carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery in the Powder River and Green River basins of Wyoming from Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

KKR and Fleur de Lis Energy have acquired properties related to carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery in the Powder River and Green River basins of Wyoming from Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

The assets include Salt Creek, Monell, and Linch fields and the Howell Pipeline. The fields produce 14,000 boe/d net to the acquired interests. The pipeline has capacity of 270 MMcfd of CO2.

Terms weren’t disclosed.

This is the partnership’s third acquisition since its formation in 2014. Others are the July 2014 acquisition of Selma Chalk properties in Mississippi from Penn Virginia Corp. and the November 2014 acquisition of Wolfberry assets in West Texas from Linn Energy LLC (OGJ Online, Oct. 8, 2014).
