Michie named Oil & Gas UK chief executive

Deirdre Michie has been named chief executive of Oil & Gas UK, replacing Malcolm Webb, who will retire May 31.

Michie, who holds an honors degree in Scottish law and has worked for Shell since 1986, will move into the position on May 1, based in Aberdeen.

Webb joined the trade group as chief executive in 2004, when it was known as the UK Offshore Operators Association.
