LyondellBasell has expanded the roles of senior executives Timothy D. Roberts, Patrick D. Quarles, and Kevin W. Brown.
Roberts has been appointed executive vice-president, global olefins and polyolefins (O&P). He previously served as executive vice-president, O&P Americas, starting in 2011.
Prior to joining the LyondellBasell, Roberts served in executive positions at Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LP and as chief executive officer of Americas Styrenics LLC, a joint venture of Dow Chemical Co. and Chevron Phillips. He has been a member of the company’s management board since April 2014.
Quarles has been promoted to executive vice-president, intermediates and derivatives (I&D), supply chain, and procurement. He previously served as senior vice-president, I&D, starting in 2009. He has been a member of the company’s management board since April 2014.
Brown has been promoted to executive vice-president, manufacturing, and refining, and has been nominated for appointment to the company’s management board. He previously served as senior vice-president, refining, starting in 2009.
The moves follow the recent appointment of Bhavesh V. Patel to the role of chief executive officer, which he officially took over Jan. 12 (OGJ Online, Dec. 18, 2014). He previously served as executive vice-president, O&P, Europe, Asia, and international and technology.
