Plains All American Pipeline LP (PAA) plans to build a 16-in. OD, 226-mile pipeline from the Plains Basin crude oil pipeline system at Duncan, Okla., to Longview, Tex. PAA expects the pipeline, which will follow existing right-of-way, to be completed by second-quarter 2016.
The 150,000-b/d pipeline also will access Cushing-sourced crude oil through connections with the Plains Cherokee and Red River pipeline systems. The pipeline will deliver crude to local refineries in Oklahoma and East Texas in addition to the Plains Longview terminal, which is connected to third-party pipelines.
PAA and a joint-venture partner will increase capacity on the existing Longview-to-Shreveport, La., pipeline system to 80,000 b/d from 40,000 b/d as part of the Duncan-Longview project.
PAA and Enterprise Products Partners LP earlier this week announced plans to expand their Eagle Ford shale gathering and mainline system and build a crude and condensate terminal on the Corpus Christi, Tex., ship channel (OGJ Online, Nov. 4, 2014).
