Veresen Inc., Calgary, has named Elizabeth Spomer as president and chief executive officer of Jordan Cove LNG LLC and executive vice-president of Veresen.
Spomer has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, a majority of which has been spent in LNG. Prior to joining Jordan Cove LNG, she served as senior-vice president, global business development, with BG Group PLC.
Spomer has been involved in LNG projects in Australia, southern China, Louisiana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Prince Rupert.
Veresen plans to expand its LNG team to accommodate the construction and operating phases of the Oregon-based project. A final investment decision for Jordan Cove LNG expected in 2015 (OGJ Online, Mar. 24, 2014).
