MARKET WATCH: Crude oil futures prices end week lower

The New York Mercantile Exchange December crude oil contract declined $1.08/bbl on Oct. 24, closing at $81.01/bbl. The January 2015 contract fell 95¢ to $80.80/bbl.

The natural gas contract for November was virtually unchanged at a rounded $3.62/MMbtu. The cash gas price at Henry Hub, La., was $3.54/MMbtu, down 6¢.

Heating oil for November delivery dropped 1.71¢ to a rounded $2.48/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for November delivery fell 2.52¢ to a rounded $2.18/gal.

The December ICE contract for Brent crude oil lost 70¢, closing at $86.13/bbl. The January 2015 contract fell 71¢ to $86.50/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for November lost $6 to settle at $735.50/tonne.

The average price for OPEC’s basket of 12 benchmark crudes was $82.48/bbl on Oct. 24, up 81¢.
