The New York Mercantile Exchange October crude oil contract lost $1.35 to $93.07/bbl on Sept. 18. The November contract declined $1.22 to $91.98/bbl.
The natural gas contract for October fell 10.3¢ to $3.91/MMbtu. On the US cash market, gas at Henry Hub, La., edged down a penny to $3.96/MMbtu.
Heating oil for October delivery was down 3.28¢ to a rounded $2.71/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for October relinquished just less than a penny to settle at a rounded $2.56/gal.
The November ICE contract for Brent crude delivery dropped $1.27 to $97.70/bbl, while the December contract fell $1.20 to $98.36/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for October declined $10.75 to $824/tonne.
The average price for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes on Sept. 18 was $95.19/bbl, dropping 65¢.
