MARKET WATCH: Futures prices end week down across the board

The New York Mercantile Exchange July crude oil contract price fell 87¢, closing at $102.71/bbl to end the month of May. The August contract declined 80¢ to settle at $101.98/bbl.

The natural gas contract for July dropped 1.7¢ to settle at a rounded $4.54/MMbtu. The August contract was down 1.6¢ to a rounded $4.52/MMbtu.

Heating oil for June delivery lost 3.44¢ to a rounded $2.88/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for June delivery relinquished 1.71¢ to a rounded $3/gal.

In London, the July ICE contract for Brent crude delivery fell 56¢, closing at $109.41/bbl, while the August contract dropped 51¢ to settle at $108.68/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for June gave up $12.75 to settle at $892.50/tonne.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of 12 benchmark crudes was $105.91 on May 30, declining 54¢ from Thursday.
