An audit by DeGolyer & MacNaughton showed that the company’s hydrocarbon reserves increased 11%, with liquids up 6% and gas, 29%.

Under the “life-of-field” classification by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Rosneft’s proven hydrocarbon reserves on Dec. 31 were 33 billion boe, compared with 29.6 billion boe in 2012 (OGJ Online, Jan. 23, 2013).

In the “prospective recoverable hydrocarbon resources” category, Rosneft had 338.6 billion boe, compared with 200.7 billion boe in 2012.
